Breast Enlargement Pills Vs Implants

Breasts have long been seen in two perspectives, namely, the sexual and maternal aspects. It is obviously the sexual aspect that women are looking into breast enlargement methods, both the natural and surgical ways, with the goal of having larger, firmer and perkier breasts. Among the natural methods, oral supplements that come in either pills or capsules are the most popular. The surgical method involves the implantation of either saline or silicone implants into the breasts.

Costs

In the United States, the average costs for breast augmentation surgery ranges from $4,000 to $10,000 inclusive of the saline or silicone implants, surgeon's fees and hospital charges. Keep in mind that the total costs can go upwards of $10,000 when additional surgery for breast lift (i.e., when the breasts sag due to pregnancy, breastfeeding and aging) and/or corrective surgery (i.e., when the initial procedure produced unsatisfactory results or when there are post-surgical complications) are performed. It is also important to note that the maintenance of breast implants can be costly such as when leakages occur. The most affordable breast enlargement method then is oral supplements. The prices for breast enhancement pills vary from one manufacturer to the next but, in general, a one-month supply costs $70 while a six-month supply costs $190, exclusive of shipping charges.

Availability

Breast augmentation surgery is one of the most common cosmetic surgery procedures performed in the United States nowadays. Every major city has several choices in clinics specializing in cosmetic and plastic surgery so undergoing surgical breast augmentation is relatively easy. Breast enhancement pills are also easy to purchase. Brick-and-mortar and online drugstores and pharmacies sell these products while hundreds of online sites exclusively sell their own formulations. Both breast enlargement methods are then easy to come by provided that you have the money to pay for the pills or the implants.

Results

Breast enhancement pills are made from dried herbs, vitamins and minerals, and even synthetic hormones, to name a few ingredients. These substances supposedly assist the body in growing larger breasts although it must be emphasized that scientific evidence supporting these claims are weak, to say the least. The most common of these ingredients are blessed thistle, damiana, dong quai, fenugreek, kelp, L-tyrosine and saw palmetto. For the most part, breast enlargement pills generate modest results, if any. This is not surprising considering that the natural size and shape of one's breasts are largely determined by genetics. Science has yet to find any type of natural formulation and exercise that can lead to noticeably larger, perkier and firmer breasts.

In contrast, breast augmentation procedures involving silicone or saline implants are effective in producing larger, perkier and firmer breasts especially when combined with breast lift surgery. Many female Hollywood celebrities have come by their prouder bosoms, so to speak, via the surgeon's knife.

Risks

Yet another aspect where these two breast enlargement methods significantly differ is the risks involved. Breast enhancement pills have little to no side effects because of their all-natural ingredients but when side effects do occur, it is easy to just stop taking the pills. In contrast, breast implantation surgery involves risks and complications that can become life threatening. These include leakages, necrosis, changes in nipple and breast sensations, and severe pain, among others. Which of these two breast enlargement methods are for you? You decide because it's your body and your pockets at stake.
