Dry Skin:The Cause and How to Treat Dry Facial Skin

During the winter, your face will dry out, especially the corners of your lips. If you see that your skin is cracking in this area, apply a small dose of plant oil (almond, grapeseed, etc)  to cover the dry skin. This will help to inject moisture near your lips to prevent cracking and cutting on the surface.

For total body exfoliation, invest in a long-handled, natural bristle brush. Before you step into the bath or shower, brush your dry skin with vigorous, circular motions. In addition to leaving your skin feeling tingly and invigorated, dry brushing will also improve your circulation and slough away dead skin to create a glowing appearance.

To have healthy skin, it is important to pick the right cleanser. If you have dry skin, pick a creamy cleaner that will help to moisturize your skin. If your skin tends to be oily, a clear cleanser will be best, as this will help to dry up your skin's excess oils. Choosing the wrong cleanser can leave your face oily or dry, so it is important to consider your skin type when considering a cleanser.
