Prevent Wrinkles, The Common Sense Guidelines Everyone Just Has To Appreciate

No matter your age, race, or gender it is never too early to learn how to prevent wrinkles. Also known as creases these folds are simply changes in the surface of the epidermis that affect its texture, making the skin unsmooth in a particular spot or area. Folds can occur in various parts of the body including the face, neck, and backs of the hands, areas which are very prominently displayed. Regions where lines tend to occur on the face include the frown lines between the eyes and the corners of the mouth due to smiling. Once these creases develop, they will continue to deepen if they are not treated.

Although these lines are a natural part of aging and are not a sign of illness or disease, they can rob an individual of their self-confidence. In fact, women and men who suffer from these creases can feel uncomfortable in social settings and intimate moments all of which can have a major impact on a person's life even influencing their job performance and personal relationships. Although it is not possible to stop the aging process there is no reason why we have to show our true age. Today, there are various products and lifestyle choices that can help us keep our skin looking fresh and smooth.

Keep the Sun Out

To stay smooth and line free it is essential that you limit exposure to ultraviolet (UV) light. This light is not visible to the human eye but is a form of radiation, which is small enough to penetrate deeply into the skin and causes DNA to mutate. This results in loss of elasticity, collagen depletion, and thickening, all of which lead to the dreaded sag. To minimize creases caused by sun exposure it helps to keep covered up when tanning at the beach and when playing or working outdoors. This means wearing sunglasses, hats, and some type of protective covering over the skin of the arms and legs. For maximum protection, you should also avoid artificial sources of UV light including tanning booths and black lights. Smoking and environmental pollutants can also dry out the skin and lead to premature creasing.
